During the International "Dance Day" celebration, on April 29, the New Theatre Institute of Latvia (NTIL) organized project 'The Dance Day at your work' where ten dance artists collaborated with public and representatives of several concrete professions became the protagonists of the project. The event were the project of 'Riga 2014' – European Capital of Culture program.

"The Dance day at your work" is a dedication to Riga's services and professions, which are not regularly connected with dance, but involve movement, which is valued, unique and beautiful. Ten choreographers in collaboration with people from different professions made a choreography based on the everyday movements of representatives of a range of professions. Each choreographer chose the profession with what they want to work. During the one month choreographers where observing members of chosen professions. In the end from collected movements choreographers created the short performance. Choreographic phrases and quotations were distilled drawing on the resource of gestures, poses and movements of these professions. Performers where the members of professions. Observers as well as by-passers were able to assess the result of this inter-action as a range of mini performances following one another, on the Dance day on April 29, on the route of The Riga city streets.

Kristīne Brīniņa chose to make a performance about work gardeners and couriers.
As gardeners where overloaded with work she decided to reflect their work by her own.
In the performance "The Gardeners" Kristine is telling a story about gardener's work and reveals their personality.

"The Couriers" is a performance which is based on the dynamics, gestures, poses, movements and situations of the work of couriers. Kristine had this great possibility to enjoy the experience of spending the working day together with couriers. Sometimes they cycling more than 100 miles a day.
